Review - Clarins Instantblush

I personally do not like powder blushes but I love the cream and gel blushes/cheek stains. They give such a nice healthy glow to your cheeks as opposed to the powder blush. Maybe I am not too good at applying powder blushes therefore I more biased towards the cream based formula which I can just dab on my cheeks and I am ready to go :D. I am constantly tempted to buy new cheek stains and cream blushes but I have to tell myself not to invest in more as I have a whole lot of these which will take a time to get over. Now switching off from tales of my obsession for cream blushes, I have a very pretty product for review today. Reviewing this product might not help lot of girls who would wanna go and try it out as this was a limited edition product from Clarins. Still I had to review it as I really like it.

Clarins Instablush was released as a part of limited edition

Price - 850/-

Pros:
1. Is a multipurpose product. Can be used on the cheeks, eyes and lips.
2. Very travel friendly.
3. Is Gel based. So doesn't dry out the skin.
4. Doesn't leave a stain on my fingers like other cheek stains.
5. It will last me a long time as only a small quantity is used.
6. Doesn't dry out my skin.
7. Gives a slight sheen to my cheeks. Like a healthy glow :)

Cons:
1. Girls with super oily skin will not like it.
2. Limited edition product. Might not be available anymore.
3. Is not as long lasting as my body shop cheek stain.

Comeback to blogging! Mixed feeling..

Today I started writing for my blog again after a long gap. It feels so nice. Somehow writing product review and fashion articles relieves me of stress :) Feels nice that someone might be spending the right amount of money in the right product after reading my reviews. My office, my freelance architecture work and the online store that I started kept me so busy that I couldnt even take out time for even a single post. But I promise you guys I will try to write atleast one post each week.

The past month of April had been full of events which kept me totally off from all the work. My 10 day trip to italy was really nice but incomplete because I missed my husband a lot. As soon as I came back, within three days of my return I was hospitalized for an appendix operation. There went another 10 days of the month.

Now I am back to my regular routine of Office and then reaching home tired from work. Though I love WORKING, its been 6 years since I have been thinking everyday, is this really what I want to do my whole life. I wanted to be a fashion designer and design clothes for people. I wanted to see them wear my designs and appreciate my work. Suddenly instead of studying fashion, I had got into architecture by fluke. But till date I feel like opening my own boutique, my own store with my own designs. Even if I am not able to make money I know I will be happy doing it. But then my mind keeps saying what a big risk it is. You need some sort of investment, whole business plan and a kindof backup to start something new. Living in Delhi all my life and thinking about this dream I had done my whole reasearch and had nearly everything ready for me to start my own setup. Just before I thought I was ready, I had to shift to Mumbai. A new place, no contacts and no idea about sourcing material or getting manpower and all, my dream took a backseat once again.

I have been since the past six years in this mind boggling fight with my own self. But I had to do something of my own which could connect me with garments and fashion. So I started with this small online store for western wear. To see what I can manage and how I can plan things. To see what kind of response I can get on starting something as small as this. This is the path I have taken to reach my goal. I hope I have best wishes of all you people out there for me :)

Thanks for reading!

Review - YSL Rouge pur pure lipsticks

I have ben waiting for a long time to write a review on my favorite makeup brand - YSL. No other brand lipsticks, not even Mac are so long lasting as these ones. Out of my whole lipstick collection YSL -Rouge Pur pure are the only lipsticks which lasts the longest without a need to re apply.

YSL has different collection of lipsticks. I prefer Rouge Pur Pure over Rouge Pur Couture. Rouge pur Couture is a new collection. Though the formula is similar to Rouge Pur Pure, Rouge Pur Couture is glossier than Rouge Pur Pure.

Rouge Pur Pure
Price - 1630/-

L-R : 52, 50, 143, 120
Top - Bottom : 120, 143, 50, 52

YSL Rouge Pur Pure No. 52 (Rouge Rose) - This is a rosy coral color. I use it slightly as a tint on my lips as this looks like a neon coral color.

YSL Rouge Pur Pure No. 50 (Rose Flamboyant) - This is the perfect bright pink color which I have always been looking for. Its my favorite lip color for a night out.

YSL Rouge Pur Pure No. 143 (Rouge Enflamme) - This was my first ever red lipstick. Its a blazing red color somewhat similar to tomato red.

YSL Rouge Pur Pure No. 120 (Le Rouge) - My second favorite color after No. 50. Its a deep red color.

Pros:
  1. The gold casing is beautiful.
  2. The lipstick formulations is neither too glossy nor drying. It sits perfectly on your lips like a matte lipstick
  3. It is very long lasting. It stays the longest out of all the lipsticks I have tried till date.
  4. Does not fade out completely. A strong hint of color is always there till the time you remove it with a makeup remover.
Cons:
  1. Its quite expensive. Double the price of Mac. So invest in these intelligently. Only for the colors you would truly love.
  2. The casing gets finger prints very easily. So even though its beautiful, its a pain to maintain the casing.
  3. It is not moisturising but its not drying as well.

Ratings: ✰✰✰✰(-1 for being so expensive)
Will I buy this again: I have taken watever colors I liked from this collection. Planning on trying Rouge Pur Couture next. The red in that collection is really pretty! :)
